Amazing Shaver!
This Philips - Philips Norelco Shaver 5300 Wet & dry electric shaver, Series 5000 S5588/81 SkinProtect Blades 360° Contour heads Pop-up trimmer Smart Hair sensor is awesome!I have owned several electric shavers over many years, however Norelco always is way above any other brands.With cutting edge technology, super precision with safety features and trimmers.I still use my old Norelco daily and have for years without any issues.

Having always been a soap and razor kind of guy, I was pleasantly surprised by this unit.It provides a clean, close shave in the shower since it is waterproof. It is lightweight and super easy to clear as the head pops up so you can rinse it out. It is a completely different design. It does the job, but having to take the blades out to clean, that is a bad idea. I am nervous about dropping one down the drain, or not putting them back properly. I prefer the old way by holding the head under running water to rinse the blades clean.

My 11 year old Norelco was showing signs of wear in the base that held the blade assembly so I decided to replace. I topped off the charge of the 5300 & found it shaved close, comfortably, without irritation & easily traced all my facial nooks & crannies. I found the shaver to be comfortable to hold. The 5300 shows the approximate level of charge left where my old shaver simply started flashing orange when it was out. The new one’s charge lasts much longer too.

This is a powerful shaver that gives a very close, comfortable shave. The contour heads work particularly well. I have sensitive skin, and this shaver worked great for that also. It charges quickly, and comes with a handy cover to keep the heads protected when not in use. Overall, I am really impressed with the quality of this shaver!
